Brusina 1884b : 56. Type horizon. Early Langhian, middle Miocene. Type locality. "Stuparusa" (p. 47) [near Sinj], Croatia. Types. Milan et al. (1974: 87) stated that Brusina (1897) had indicated one of the specimens illustrated by him (pl. 4, fig. 15) as type. However, it is uncertain whether the specimen actually derives from the original type series. The specimen is stored in the Croatian Natural History Museum, Zagreb, coll. no. 2975-621/1.
