The mesial carina is either straight and centrally positioned on the mesial surface or slightly twisted lingually. They differ from the abelisaurid mesial teeth in the absence of concavity adjacent to the carinae on the crown, the symmetrical appearance of the tooth (i.e. lanceolate cross-sectional outline at the base of the crown), and the slightly to strongly concave distal profile.
