European distribution : Albania , Greece , Italy , Malta ( Harvey 2013b ; Naumova 2020 ). Notes : The distribution of Calocheiridius libanoticus within Europe is restricted to the Mediterranean area ( Harvey 2013b ). Habitats in Europe were not mentioned ( Lazzeroni 1969 1970 ; Mahnert 1975 ), but outside Europe, the species has been found under stones and tree bark ( Beier 1955 1957 ; Schawaller and Dashdamirov 1988 ). This rare species was first documented in Albania only recently ( Naumova 2020 ), but without habitat. Albania represents the second-known country with occurrence in the Balkans.
