, four genera exist, but only species of the genus
Mesoplophora
Berlese, 1904
were found on the
Passalidae
. Forty-two species have been described in this genus but only four species from 13 host species have been collected. Unidentified
Mesoplophora
were collected from 13 host species. In total, mites were collected from 15 host species (
