Features : Diameter 80–120 μm, marginal costae 4–5 in 10 μm, inner puncta 6–7 in 10 μm. Description : Valves suborbicular and curved. Costae extends to nearly halve distance to valve center and composed of two striae of irregular areolae. Central area large with rows of irregularly spaces areolae. Ecology and Distribution: A widely distributed brackish and marine species, particularly in warm waters. Not reported previously from the Gulf. Frequent in Basra corals.
