Hymenasplenium

, we included a species under the name
Diplazium praestans
(Copel.) Maxon ex C.V.Morton
in the family
Athyriaceae
as one of two species of
Diplazium
with undivided leaves. More recently, molecular and morphological data have shown that this species in fact belongs in the family
Aspleniaceae
, where it is nested within
Hymenasplenium
(
Riibe
et al
. 2021
)
. This is the only species of
Hymenasplenium
with undivided leaves and increases the number of
Hymenasplenium
species
known from
Bolivia
to six (
Kessler & Smith 2018b
). The correct name for this species thus is:
