Type material examined . Photographs of the holotype ( Figs 1 , 5 ): male, “ Kyrgyzstan , Yssyk- Köl region , Inner Tien Shan mts , Terskey-Ala-Too mts, 10 km SW of Barskoon-pass , 3820 m , N41°50’32 , E77°43’54, 17 .VII.2007, leg. Ronkay , 2007” ( HNHM ); photographs of the paratype ( Figs 2 , 6 ): male, the same data as the holotype, gen. slide No.: JB 292m (prepared by Babics) ( HNHM ) . Figures 1–4 . Isochlora balinti : adults. Depositories of the specimens: 1 and 2 in HNHM (photo by B. Tóth); 3 and 4 in CAV. Additional material examined . 2 males , 02.VII.2015 , SE Kazakhstan , Almaty Region , Transili Alatau Mts , 3.5 km S of Chimbulak ski resort, Tuyuksu gorge, 43°05’51’’ N 77°04’31.7’’ E, mountain tundra, P. V . Egorov leg. , gen. slides Nos.: AV2275 and AV2277 (prepared by Volynkin) ( CAV ). Remark . The freshly collected specimens ( Figs 3, 4 ) have an intense green suffusion on the forewings while the type specimens of I. balinti ( Figs 1, 2 ) almost lack a green suffusion probably due to degrading of the green pigment caused by using a conserving chemical (paradichlore) during the transporting of the material collected. Distribution and Bionomics. The species is currently known only from two localities in the Tien Shan mountain massif ( Fig. 9 ). The species inhabits rocky mountain tundra at altitudes above 3500m ( Fig. 10 ). Preimaginal stages are unknown.
