Taxonomy: This species was previously known only from the female holotype (NMW), collected in the Philippines . The female is easily distinguished from all other species by the single median brush of hairs, downcurved at the tips, on the lower part of the frons. The male has not been described. It is not one of the two species ( G.shoreae (Browne) , G. spinatus (Browne)) of which the females are unknown. Distribution: Philippines (Luzon?). A single female is recorded here from East Malaysia . New Record : MALAYSIA , Sabah , Sipitang , Mendolong , 17.ii.1989 ( S. Adebratt ) ( 1 ♀ ) ( RAB ) . Biology: Unknown.
