[≡ Inocephalus cervinus Karstedt & Capelari , Nova Hedwigia 96: 284. 2013 .] Figs. 38a–b Description:—The morphological description of this species appears in Karstedt & Capelari (2013) . Habitat:—Solitary or gregarious, in soil, in the Atlantic Forest biome. Distribution:—Originally described from the state of São Paulo ( Karstedt & Capelari 2013 ) and now reported from the state of Santa Catarina . Additional material examined:— BRAZIL . São Paulo : Santo André , Paranapiacaba Biological Reserve , Trail 15, 7 November 2007 , F. Karstedt FK0940 ( Holotype , SP; isotype , K); 16 December 2009 , M. Capelari & L.A. Silva Ramos 4459 (SP) ; Santa Catarina : Praia Grande , Morro da Moça (around the Serra Geral National Park ), 21 January 2011 , F. Karstedt FK1770 (SP) . Comments:— Entoloma cervinum is phylogenetically related to E. aff. luteum ( He et al . 2013 ) and E. mocamboense sp. nov. ( Fig. 3 ), which are characterized by a nolanioid basidiome with a convex-umbonate translucent-striate pileus and a delicate, whitish stipe. Entoloma cervinum is characterized by a white stipe, a pale yellowish brown, between dark yellow and brown, or brown pileus, which is darker at the centre ( Fig. 38a–b ). The pileipellis is a cutis and in places trichodermal; the clusters of erect hyphae forming the macroscopic punctations present on the pileus surface. Entoloma mocamboense differs by its more delicate, thin pileus ( Fig. 38.f ), and a pileipellis as a simple cutis.
