Comments:—
Entoloma cervinum
is phylogenetically related to
E.
aff.
luteum
(
He
et al
. 2013
)
and
E. mocamboense
sp. nov.
(
Fig. 3
), which are characterized by a nolanioid basidiome with a convex-umbonate translucent-striate pileus and a delicate, whitish stipe.
Entoloma cervinum
is characterized by a white stipe, a pale yellowish brown, between dark yellow and brown, or brown pileus, which is darker at the centre (
Fig. 38a–b
). The pileipellis is a cutis and in places trichodermal; the clusters of erect hyphae forming the macroscopic punctations present on the pileus surface.
Entoloma mocamboense
differs by its more delicate, thin pileus (
Fig. 38.f
), and a pileipellis as a simple cutis.
