Genetic note.
There are
two types
of mitochondrial haplogroups within the same population of
S. immutata
in the region (minimal
p
-distance 1.2%). Notably, one of these haplogroups is identical with the European one, however, the Siberian carrier of this haplotype has atypical sternite A
8 in
the male genitalia: right ceras is considerably elongated (ceras-polymorphism is a well-known phenomenon in
Scopulini
, see
Hausmann 1999
,
2004
). The structure of its genital segment and phallos fully corresponds to the characters of typical
S. immutata
. The carrier of different (new) haplotype has a typical structure of sternite A8. Both these haplotypes were collected in the same location.
