Erebia pharte
(Hübner, 1804)
—The only record of this species in
Montenegro
(
Jakšić 2003b
) refers to the Čakor pass, but without any detail on where the data originated. In his paper
Jakšić (2003b)
discussed the presence of
E. manto
in the area, while the presence of
E. pharte
was mentioned but not discussed. The discovery of the latter species in this area would be a much more remarkable finding. The closest populations to the aforementioned record from Čakor are in
Romania
(Székely 2008) and the Alps (Tolman & Lewington 2008). In a personal communication with P. Jakšić it was established that the record originated from the Master’s thesis of a biology student. Taking all these facts into consideration,
E. pharte
is excluded from the list.
