but did not cite in which herbarium the type would be deposited. Thus, we chose a specimen from this collection that belonged to the herbarium where Bentham worked as the
lectotype

). Regarding

aquaticum
,
Ducke (1938)
indicated the collection
Ducke s.n.
from the herbarium RB (RB No. 24570) in the prologue. However, since the same collection information was used for two different gatherings, corresponding to specimens with follicles (“
10-6-1933
”) and flowers (“
24-7-1936
”), we chose the gathering with follicles as the
lectotype
collection of
A
.
aquaticum
(ICN article 9.3;
Turland
et al.
2018
). It is worth mentioning that we consider the three preparations with this information in RB (RB barcodes 00535001, 00535014, and 00535148) as a single specimen mounted on three sheets since they possess a single original label in common, received the same voucher number, and are physically kept together (ICN article 8.3, Ex. 9;
Turland
et al.
2018
).
