[sect. Platycentrum ] Table 1 Notes from the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh 21: 41 ( Irmscher 1951 ) . Type : China : Yunnan , Mianning , Hsiao-kuan-shan , in ravine near stream, 2350 m , 29 Sep. 1938 , T.T. Yü 7778 ( HT n.v., KUN n.v.) . Citation in other publications Gu et al. (2007: 185) . Taxonomic remarks The Flora of China ( Gu et al. 2007 ) records this species as present in Northeast India but we have seen no specimens to confirm this. The origin of the record is not known, but this species could easily be confused with other lacerated leaved species such as B. koelzii and B. shilendrae .
