Distribution and habitat:— Euphorbia peperomioides is endemic to Brazil ( Minas Gerais , São Paulo , Paraná , Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul ). In the state of São Paulo the species occurs on high montane habitats, frequently on swampy areas or riversides. Representative Specimen:— BRAZIL . Taxonomic notes:— Euphorbia peperomioides differs from all other prostrate Euphorbia in the state of São Paulo by having leaves with symmetric base, lateral, glanduliform stipules and cyathial glands without petaloid appendages, sometimes with irregular margins that looks like horns.
