Identification.
All these pill millipede specimens were determined as members of the
Glomerida
based on the characteristic head characters of the order.
Glomerida
can
be distinguished from the
Sphaerotheriida
by the shape of the Tömösváry organ, the insertion point of the antenna and many other characteristics (
Oeyen and Wesener 2018
). The family classification of the
Glomerida
is based on the telopods, which currently prevents any more detailed determinations.
