Body brown to dark brown; pronotum except blotch, and membranous areas paler; abdominal segment V brownish yellow (Fig. 5); abdominal segment X usually paler than VII–IX. Femora dark brown but fore femur yellowish at extreme apex; tibiae and tarsi yellow. Fore wings brown, with pale subbasal band. Antennal segments I–III yellow, with brownish apex to I and III; segments IV–VIII dark brown, basal fifth of segment IV and extreme base of segment V yellow ( Fig. 16 ). Head broader than long; ocellar region with transversely anastomosing striae and wrinkles among striae; occiput transversely reticulate, with wrinkles in reticles on anteromedian half; mouth cone long. Antennae 8-segmented, with forked sensoria on antennal segments III–IV. Pronotum transversely reticulate; blotch well developed, with transversely anastomosing striae and many distinct dots between striae. Mesoscutum with closely spaced lines; metascutum transversely striate on anteromedian third, rather reticulate on posteromedian fourth, longitudinally striate on the rest. Fore wing second vein without setae. Abdominal terga with microtrichia laterally; terga VII–VIII with complete comb; tergal median setae (S1) longer than S2; sterna without discal setae. Ovipositor well developed. Male macroptera . Similar to female but smaller and with narrowly transverse pore plate on sterna VI and VII. Material examined. This species is here newly recorded from China , and was identified using the descriptions by Kudô (1991) and the characters given by Wang (2007) .
