Diagnose.
Frons slightly longer than wide (33:28). Femora black, tibiae and tarsi entirely yellow. Wing hyaline without a brown spot near wing apex. Surstylus short, nearly triangular. Pregonite as long as postgonite.

China; Pakistan.

Thomson (1869)
firstly described
Geomyza spuria
from China.
Sabrosky (1977)
transferred it to
Thressa
.
Nartshuk (1993)
gave the figures of male genitalia. I examined the photos of the holotype in the Naturhistoriske Riksmuseet.
