Korea , Yellow Sea , station 31205 ( 34°2 ʹ 38.52 ʺ N , 125°29 ʹ 52.5 ʺ E ), 11 Apr 2015 , by Van Veen Grab , collected by Sangjin Kim. NIBR ID: NIBRPR0000107219 . Diagnosis. Test round, compressed, planispiral involute, lenticular in apertural side view. Periphery with slight keel, not lobulated. Sutures not depressed. Wall calcareous, hyaline, and smooth. Apertural side narrow and flattened. Aperture radiate with a long slit on the apertural face. Remarks. There are 97 extant species in the genus Lenticulina , and 17 species are reported from Korea . The most typical feature of this genus is the lenticular test shape and the terminal radiate aperture. According to the original description in Elis & Messina (1940) this species differs from L. articulate or L. lucida by its large lobulated slit extending along the full length of the apertural side.
