Phaeoptix pigmentaria (Poey, 1860)
A single specimen of this species turned up in material collected at Lagoa Azul (SMNS 25260). It is no longer possible to reconstruct the depth and habitat, where the animal was taken. This predominantly western Atlantic species, known from Bermuda to Brazil, has previously been recorded from
Annobon
Island in the eastern Atlantic (Fraser & Robins, 1970).
