Type locality. Sicily . Remarks. Monterosato (1914b: 388) wrote he had examined the shell bearing Valenciennes’ manuscript name, stored “in Museo Parisiense”. This is the first valid introduction of the name, older than Coen (1915: 272; pl. 5, fig. 1) , who refers to Monterosato (1914b).
