Belkin (1962)
also provided information on distribution and bionomics, and a taxonomic discussion in which he stated ‘
A. futunae
is a very clearly marked species in all stages’.

is Latinized from the Greek
zoros
(masculine adjective), meaning pure, sheer, and
morphe
(feminine noun), meaning form, figure, shape. The name is masculine and is in reference to its distinction as a monobasic lineage known only from the Horne Islands of the South Pacific. Recommended abbreviation for subgenus
