Palp tarsus with 3 setae (2 setae Be-type and 1 BDa-type) and solenidion; palp tibia without setae. Hypostomal setae BDa-type. Sensillae si SC-type, other idiosomal setae (including coxae) BDa-type. Hosts and distribution. Coraciiformes (Coracidae) : COracias caudata caudata Linnaeus from Rwanda [Southern Prov., Akanyaru] ( Fain 1956a ). Pelecaniformes (Scopidae) : ScOpus umbretta Gmelin from Rwanda [Southern Prov., Butare, Akanyaru, Gisagara] ( Fain 1956a; present paper ). New material examined. Two females from ScOpus umbretta Gmelin ( Pelecaniformes : Scopidae ), RWANDA: Southern Prov., Gisagara, 8 March 1968 , coll. A. Fain; specimens deposited in the RBINS.
