In Myanmar, found in Bago, Chin, Mandalay, and Shan. Use. Roots : Used for coughs. Notes. In India the powdered root of this species is externally applied for chest pain; a decoction of the root is used for coughs. Medicinal uses for several other species belonging to this genus are also discussed ( Jain and DeFilipps 1991 ).
