Argopecten noronhensis (E. A. Smith , 1885 ) ★ ■ Bathymetric distribution : 20–140 m —SW. Geographical distribution : North (AP, PA), Northeast Brazil (including FN), and SC—B. Remarks : This species was only described from Brazilian waters, including from the northernmost Brazilian State of Amapá , which suggests its occurrence in the Caribbean province. However, it was not noticed from the West Indian, Central America and Florida by Abbott (1974) , Redfern (2001) , Mikkelsen & Bieler (2007) , Tunnel et al . (2010) , and Turgeon et al .
