Materials examined. CHINA : 4 ♂♂ , Xizang , Motuo County , 24 Jul. 2015 , coll. Zhaohui Pan ( SNNU ) . FIGURE 1 . Xuanwua motuoensis (male). A. Body; B. Metanotal gland; C. Anal plate. All figures viewed dorsally. Scale bar: 1cm. Remarks. Characters presenting here were not mentioned in He, 2015 : (1) Head rather small. Occiput strongly convex. Antennal scape large, almost two times broader than rostrum. Eyes normal for the tribe; median ocellus rather large, ovoid, located between the scapes; lateral ocelli large, in close proximity to eyes. Clypeus equipped with almost straight proximal margin and emarginated distalis margin (connecting to labrum). Labrum convex medially and oblique laterally. Maxillary palpus 5 segments and ratio (from basal to apex) about 1:2.5:4:3:4.5, apical segment strongly broadened apically; labial palpus short and ratio (from basal to apex) is about 1:2:1.5, end section fusiform. (2) Pronotum strongly narrower anteriorly in dorsal view, with anterior margin straight and posterior margin sinuate; disk shining with many irregular pits posteriorly; lateral lobes lightly smooth and shining, conspicuously concave in the middle. Metanotal gland armed with a protrude backward in the middle of posterior margin ( Fig. 1B ). (3) Hind femur ornamented with a white spot in the middle of external surface ( Fig. 1A ); hind femur almost as long as hind tibia. (4) Subgenital plate somewhat triangular-like and apically narrowed. Supra-anal plate symmetrically splitting into two lobes by middle groove ( Fig. 1C ). Cerci normal for the tribe, pubescent. (5) Male genitalia elongate; accessory structures armed with many small spines ( Fig. 2B, C, E, F ). FIGURE 2. Variation of male genitalia of Xuanwua motuoensis (one, A–C; other, D–F). A, D. Dorsal viewed; B, E. Lateral viewed; C, F. Ventral viewed. as, accessory structure; ect, ectoparameres; end, endoparameres; epi, epiphallus; gd, guiding rod. Specimens preserved in our laboratory are varied and mainly differ from the holotype in measurements and, especially, two details of genitalia: (1) width of accessory structure (epiphallus in He & Gorochov, 2015 ). (2) length of epiphallic middle lobe (a pair of massive and long anterolateral sclerites in He, 2015 ; Fig. 2A, C, D, F ). Measurements (n=4).
