It has been reported from central Argentina to the southern United States ( Metcalf 1963a ; Duffels & van der Laan 1985 ; Sanborn et al. 1995b ; Boulard 1996, 2005, 2006; Sanborn 2001 a , 2006, 2007a , b, 2010a; Sueur 2002 ; De Santis et al. 2007 ; Thouvenot 2007b ).
