Taxonomic notes. Described originally as a species of
Scolioplanes
, it was cited under
Strigamia
first by
Murakami (1993)
. The validity of the species was never questioned, but no other specimens were recorded. It is maintained here as a distinct species only tentatively, because both the small size of the body and the presence of a single coxal pore on each coxopleuron indicate that the
holotype
was a very young specimen (adolescens I), so that the adult features of the species are unknown and it is impossible to evaluate its actual distinction from other known species, e.g.
S. alokosternum
.
Distribution: known from a single locality in Honshu.
