Dorsal cephalic chaetotaxy with 4 antennal (An), 4 median (M), 5 sutural (S) and 4 in Gr. II ( Fig. 5 ). Th.II with 4 (m1, m2, m 2i , m2e) medio-medial, 3 (m4, m 4i , m4p) medio-lateral, and 19 posterior mac ( Fig. 6 ). Th. III with 30–34 mac and 4 (m5, m 5i , a6, a 6i ) in Gr. West Virginia , Kentucky , California . Remarks. It is similar to another American cave species Sinella basidens Bonet, 1934 in long apical tooth and short basal spine on mucro, labial chaetae m 1m 2rel1l2, absence of inner unpaired tooth on unguis, smooth unguiculus outer edge, coarsely ciliate differentiated chaetae on tibiotarsi, but differs from the latter in long antennae and lateral process of labial palp exceeding apex of labial papilla.
