Holotype male in SMNS (not seen); one male from Kenya (Mt Kilimanjaro) in BMNH . Diagnosis. General colour dark brown; scutum with postpronotum, notopleuron and area around the second presutural dorsocentral seta grey pollinose; mid femur with 2 posterior preapical setae; mid tibia with 1 posterior seta and without an anterodorsal seta; lower katepisternal setae equidistant from the other two; costal spine absent. Notes. This runs to couplet 72 of Emden’s (1951) key. It differs from the species in this section and from L. fenellae Peris by the hind femur having only two preapical anteroventrals, one weak but distinct intraalar, longest aristal hairs shorter than basal diameter of arista, calypters white, and fore tibia with a posterior seta.
