Diagnostic characters:
The male imago can be separated from other members of the genus by having a
virga
consisting of 6 short spines; apical
setae
on the wing membrane; squama with a few
setae
; short costal extension; scalpellate acrostichals in the middle of scutum; anal point long and triangular, with strong lateral
setae
; and inferior volsella prominent with anterior digitiform projection equally long as and partly covering rounded posterior lobe.
Etymology:
Named after the Reserva Biosphere Calakmul in SE
Mexico
, using the Latin suffix, –
ensis
, denoting the place of origin.
