is a group of large damselflies. The body length usually ranges from

, and the wing length ranges from

. Wings are obviously petiolate and usually outspread at 180° when resting. Wing venation is relatively sparse, with the

. Structures of caudal appendages and genital ligula are simple, with cerci usually longer and more robust than the paraprocts. All species in
