Doraturopsis heros A: male pygofer side, lateral view; B: valve and subgenital plates, ventral view; C–E: style; F: connective, dorsal view; G & H: aedeagus, dorsal and lateral view, respectively. FIGURE 2. Doraturopsis heros A: apex of hind femur, dorsal view; B: left front tibia, upside view; C: left hind tibia, dorsal view; D: front femur, anterior view. Length. Male: 5.3–6.2mm ; female: 8.0– 8.7mm . Ochraceous with markings as in Plate I: A–E. Crown width as long as 1.5x length and slightly shorter than pronotum (Plate I: A & B). Ocelli on anterior margin of head 2– 3 x their own diameter from eye. Clypellus parallel-sided (Plate I: C). Male genitalia. Valve width more than 3x median length, posterior margin medially convex ( Fig. 1 B). Subgenital plate triangular divergent apically, with about 8 scattered macrosetae and several fine setae laterally ( Fig. 1 B). Style preapical lobe triangular, apophysis moderately long, laterally curved ( Figs 1 C–E). Connective with anterior arms closely appressed or crossed, with distinct stem ( Fig. 1 F). Aedeagal shaft cylindrical, robust, hinged at base; gonopore large, subapical on dorsal surface ( Figs 1 G, 1H). Female genitalia. Pygofer without macrosetae, with few short fine setae (Plate I: D). Sternite VII truncated on posterior margin (Plate I: E). Material examined. China : Gansu Prov.: 3 males , Dunhuang, 20–22.VI.1964 , coll. Wang Min ( NWAFU ); 1 male , 2 females , Kuerle City, 16.XI.1986 , coll. Zhang Yalin ( NWAFU ). Distribution. Palearctic. Remarks. Figs 1 C–E show the variation of the style. Fig. 1 C shows the style attached to part of the subgenital plate. As the color of the subgenital plate is similar to the style it has often been figured as a single pincer-shaped structure ( Dlabola, 1958 ; Kalkandelen, 1974 ; Emeljanov, 1999 ). When the style is fully dissected it appears as in Figs 1 D and 1E. PLATE I.
