Marine and brackish waters ( Fricke et al. 2020 ); depth: intertidal to 7 m ( 24 ft ) ( Miller and Lea 1972 ). The NWFSC-FRAM database has a record of one individual caught in a bottom trawl at a depth of 73 m ( 239 ft ); this extreme record is without documentation.
