Benthic; depth: 15–460 m ( 48–1,509 ft ) (min.: Mecklenburg et al. 2002; max.: Orlov 1998 ); reported but not confirmed to 974 m ( 3,195 ft ) (Mecklenburg et al. 2002). Recently classified by some authors in Leptagonus ; originally in Odontopyxis (see Sheiko and Mecklenburg 2004 ).
