Type species: Pedioxestis isomorpha Meyrick, 1932 , by monotypy. Redescription. Head with appressed scales. Antenna about 3/5 length of forewing; scape with pecten. Labial palpus very long, recurved, slender, smooth; third segment as long as second, acute. Forewing broadly lanceolate, costa gently arched, apex pointed, termen oblique; R4 and R5 stalked, R5 to costa, CuA1 from lower angle of cell, CuA2 from just before lower angle. Hindwing ovate; Rs and M1 parallel except divergent distally, M2 slightly nearer to M1 than to M3, M3 and CuA1 basally stalked from lower angle of cell, CuA2 arising from well before lower angle. Abdominal terga with spiniform setae in a broad band. Male genitalia: Uncus developed. Gnathos somewhat tongue-shaped. Tegumen broadly trapezoidal. Valva variable in shape. Sacculus with or without distally free process. Saccus short to elongate. Juxta well developed. Aedeagus simple, with or without cornutus. Female genitalia: Apophyses anteriores and posteriores long and slender. Ostium bursae well defined. Ductus bursae membranous, with granules. Corpus bursae ovate, with rhomboidal or subovate signum. Biology. Unknown. Distribution. Pedioxestis is distributed in China and Japan .
