It is currently known from Indonesia (Sumatra and Kalimantan), Malaysia (West Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak), and Thailand, though only a single Sabah record is published from the Gunung Emas in the Crocket Range ( LÖBL & TANG 2013 ). The species may be easily distinguished by the long protibial setae in males.
