, cubital streak absent, supernumerary lobe weak; abdominal terga III-V red-brown with a black ‘T’ pattern consisting of a narrow transverse black band across anterior margin of tergum III and a narrow medial longitudinal black band over all three terga and very narrow dark fuscous lateral margins on terga IV and V, a pair of oval red-brown shining spots on tergum V.

Remarks

Bactrocera correcta
(Bezzi)
is a significant pest species in some parts of its geographic distribution. It is similar to
Bactrocera dorsalis
(Hendel)
in overall appearance but is readily distinguished by having the costal band ending at apex of R
2+3
and with a separate small fuscous spot around apex of R
4+5
.
