Body oblong-oval, strongly convex above, shining, closely covered with brownish setae throughout. Coloration of body dark brown; mouthparts and antennomeres 1–3 and 11 yellowish; maxillary palpi dark brown. Head moderate in size, slightly convex above in dorsal surface, closely covered with fine punctures; clypeus long, straight in front margin. Eyes moderate in size, prominent; the distance between the eyes ca. 2.2 times as long as maximum diameter of an eye. Antennae subserrate, antennomeres 4–10 widened, reaching ca. proximal 1/3 of elytra. Pronotum slightly convex above in mesal part of the disk, punctured as on head; front and lateral margins gently arcuate; antero-lateral angles obtuse, ca. 100°; postero-lateral angles almost right-angled; posterior margin gently bisinuate; PW/PL 2.31. Scutellum moderate in size, equilateral-triangular, punctured as on head. Elytra oblong, widest at the 1/2, punctures slightly stronger than pronotum; shoul- der parts distinct; EL/EW 1.21; EL/PL 4.38; EW/PW 1.56; TL/EW 1.49. Hind coxal plates rectangular. Legs relatively long; hind legs stout; hind tibial spurs long, almost straight; dorsal spurs ca. 2.5 times as long as ventral ones, ca. 0.8 times as long as tarsomere 1. Sternites III–IV sparsely covered with short setae; sternites V–VII closely covered with long setae. Caudal margin of sternite VII shallowly concave. Tergite VIII well sclerotized, trapezoidal, bearing short spines on posterior margin; tergite IX membranous, with a pair of long apodemes; sternite IX lightly sclerotized, consisting of paired subrectangular plates, closely covered with short setae in posterior portion. Tegmen large, well sclerotized; basal part oblong; parameres long, bifid, outer portion of each paramere about twice as long as inner portion. Penis long, well sclerotized in basal portion; apical portion relatively wide, as long as parameres. Female unknown. Measurements . Male (n = 1): TL 3.50 mm ; PW 1.50 mm ; PL 0.65 mm ; EL 2.85 mm ; EW 2.35 mm . Distribution . Malaysia : Penang . Notes.
