Male. Body oblong, slightly convex. Coloration dark brown, antennomeres 1–3 and mouthparts somewhat lighter, yellowish. Head of moderate size, slightly convex dorsally, finely punctate; clypeus long, expanded antero-laterally, gently arcuate in front margin. Eyes moderate in size, moderately prominent; the distance between the eyes ca. 2.3 times as long as the maximum diameter of the eye. Antennae filiform (only antennomeres 1–4 present in the holotype ). Pronotum slightly convex in mesal part of the disk, finely punctate; antero-lateral angles somewhat acute, slightly projecting anteriorly; anterior and lateral margins almost straight; postero-lateral angles right-angled; posterior margin slightly subtrapezoidal; PW/PL 2.47. Scutellum relatively small, finely punctate, equilateral-triangular. Elytra elongate, oblong-oval, widest at the middle, punctation stronger than on pronotum; humeri elevated; EL/EW 1.42; EL/PL 4.81; EW/PW 1.37; TL/EW 1.71. Legs relatively long. Last abdominal ventrite with a shallow concavity. Tergite VIII moderately sclerotized, trapezoidal, bearing a row of long setae on apical margin, with a pair of long apodemes; tergite IX lightly sclerotized, apical margin arcuate, bearing short setae in apical part, with a pair of stout apodemes diverging posteriorly; sternite IX almost membranous, consisting of two hemisternites, bearing distinct setae in apical part. Aedeagus symmetrical. Tegmen well sclerotized, connected with penis; basal part semicircular; parameres short, relatively wide, outcurved, covered with minute foveae. Penis well sclerotized, much longer than parameres; apex elongated and narrow; apical part bulbous at base, narrowed apically, connected with tegmen in apical part; apex reaching beyond basal part of tegmen. Female. Unknown. Measurements. Male (n = 1): TL 3.08 mm ; PW 1.31 mm ; PL 0.53 mm ; EL 2.55 mm ; EW 1.80 mm . Distribution. Borneo Isl. ( Sabah ). Etymology. Small, uniformly brownish species, externally resembling Scirtes malayanus Champion and S . cameroni sp. n. , differing in sparser punctation of dorsum. Parameres outcurved, penis much longer than parameres.
