Body oval, convex above, shining, closely covered with fine setae throughout. Coloration of head, antennomeres 1–3, scutellum, legs and abdomen yellowish-brown; tarsal segments 1–3 fuscous in fore- and middle legs; maxillary palpi, antennomeres 4–11 and elytra black; tip of terminal segments of antennae and elytral maculations pale yellow; anterior transverse elytral band running along proximal 1/2 of outer margins, anterior margins and near scutellum; middle transverse not reaching elytral suture, gently tapered laterally; posterior spots large and oval, located near apex, touching each other. Head moderate in size, almost flat in dorsal surface, finely punctate; clypeus wide, expanded antero-laterally, slightly concave in front margin. Eyes moderate in size, gently prominent; the distance between the eyes ca. 2.4 times as long as the maximum diameter of the eye. Antennae moderate in length, reaching ca. proximal 1/4 of elytra; antennomeres rather flat; approximate ratio of each antennomeres as 1.3: 1.0: 1.0: 1.8: 1.5: 1.5: 1.5: 1.5: 1.5: 1.5: 2.0. Pronotum transverse, convex dorsally in mesal part of disk, closely punctate; front margin almost straight; antero-lateral angles obtuse, projecting anteriorly; lateral and posterior margins gently arcuate, gently tapered anteriad; postero-lateral corners right-angled; PW/PL 2.35. Scutellum moderate in size, equilateral-triangular, finely punctate. Elytra oblong-oval, widest at middle, thickest in proximal 1/3, punctured as on pronotum; humeri indistinct; EL/EW 1.19; EL/PL 4.20; EW/PW 1.50; TL/EW 1.48. Hind coxal plates subquadrate. Legs stout, rather short. Hind legs stout; dorsal tibial spurs laterally curved in apical portions, 2.2 times as long as ventral spurs; tarsomere 1 long, clearly longer than dorsal tibial spurs and the total length of remaining tarsomeres. Tergites I–VII lacking apodemes; sternites III–IV sparsely covered with short setae; sternites V–VII covered closely with long setae; caudal margin of sternite VII widely and shallowly concave. Tergite VIII moderately sclerotized, trapezoidal, bearing long spines on apical margin, covered sparsely with minute seate in postero-lateral portion; sternite VIII indistinct; tergite IX almost membranous, but apodemes lightly sclerotized, bearing short spines along apical margin; sternite IX lightly sclerotized, composed of two oval plates, bearing short setae in apical part. Tegmen large, well sclerotized; basal part semicircular, sides subparallel; parameres long and slender, slightly curved interiorly, punctate, pointed at apices. Penis large, well sclerotized, symmetrical, connected with tegmen in middle part; basal part lobed, expanded laterally in proximal part and apical 1/3; posterior part (parameroids?) simple, lobed, a little shorter than parameres of tegmen. Female. Sexual dimorphism slight. PW/PL 2.65; EL/EW 1.31; EL/PL 4.78; EW/PW 1.38; TL/EW 1.58. Measurements. Male (n = 1): TL 4.58 mm ; PW 2.07 mm ; PL 0.88 mm ; EL 3.70 mm ; EW 3.10 mm . Female (n = 1): TL 3.93 mm ; PW 1.80 mm ; PL 0.68 mm ; EL 3.25 mm ; EW 2.48 mm . Distribution. Borneo Isl. ( Sarawak ). Notes. The species is distinct in having a broad transverse band in the middle of the elytra, a large posterior spot on the elytra, parameres long, slightly longer than penis.
