Remarks

and only species was placed in
Eucalliacinae
, now
Eucalliacidae
, as a species of
Calliax
, by
Sakai (2005)
.
Sakai (2011)
erected the new genus
Pseudocalliax
for it in the same subfamily. No molecular sequences were available to
Robles et al. (2020)
to challenge this placement that has good morphological support (
Poore et al., 2019
). The genus shares with the three species of
Calliax
the characteristic short fixed finger on the minor cheliped.
