IDENTIFICATION: We consulted descriptions and measurements of Artibeus anderseni provided by Webster and Jones (1980) , Anderson (1997) , and Rocha et al. (2018) . No subspecies are currently recognized ( Marques-Aguiar, 2008 ). Our Mayo River basin voucher specimens exhibit the diagnostic characteristics of the species: uropatagium sparsely haired; rostrum elevated (tilted up); weakly developed impression of the optic nerve in the orbit; maxillary toothrow nearly parallel; caniniform P5; broad talon on M1; and presence of two lower molars (Marques- Aguiar, 2008; Díaz et al., 2016 ; Rocha et al., 2018 ). Measurements of our specimens fall within the ranges previously reported for the species. REMARKS: One female (MUSM 39116) that we collected was lactating.
