Taxonomic remarks.
G. rickmersi
is currently considered a junior synonym of
G. ferganensis
(
Harvey 2003
)
based on
Birula (1907)
who synonymised
Gylippus syriaceus ferghanensis
and
G. rickmersi
but incorrectly prioritises the second name (
Harvey 2013
).
Collection remarks.
The
type
locality is Bukhara in
Uzbekistan
.
Roewer (1933)
also mentiones
G. rickmersi
in a key and gives the distribution as ‘mountainous regions of
East-Turkestan
and
Bukhara’
.
Current systematic position.
Gylippidae
