Distribution
:
Brazil
(Northeastern region, Bahia state)
Remark
:
Bocakova (2001)
synonymized
Calleros
to
Plateros
, so
P. brasiliensis
validity is reinstated (
cf.
Pic, 1934
), known to occur in Southeastern
Brazil
, São Paulo State. Examination of the
holotype
of
Calleros
brasiliensis
var.
curtebilineatus
Pic, 1934
from MNHN showed that it is a member of
Plateros
, forming a separate species from
Plateros brasiliensis
. Therefore,
Calleros
brasiliensis
var.
curtebilineatus
Pic, 1934
is transferred to the genus
Plateros
and
Plateros curtebilineatus
(
Pic, 1934
)
comb. et stat. n.
is proposed.
