Ficus alvareziana
Dugand (1942: 29)
Lectotype
(designated here):—
COLOMBIA
.
Caquetá
,
Venecia
, orillas del
Río Orteguaza
,
31 March 1940
,
J
. Cuatrecasas 8951
(
lectotype
:
COL 3796
!,
isolectotypes
:
COL 3797
!, US!).
Nomenclatural notes:—
There is no reference in the protologue, to which specimen at COL is the
holotype
of
F. alvareziana
. There are two preparations from a single gathering (
Cuatrecasas 8951
) with no clear indication on the label whether these are parts of the same specimen or different individuals (
Turland
et al.
2018
, Art. 8.3). Therefore, these are considered as two duplicates and we designate one of them as the
lectotype
because it contains branches with syconia, leaves and stipules.
Taxonomical notes:—
Ficus alvareziana
is synonimized as
Ficus trigona
by
Berg & Villavicencio (2004)
.
