Chile . Chilean distribution. Only recorded from Los Ríos region ( Fig. 70 ). Altitudinal range. This species mainly inhabits native forests in coastal areas between 5 and 50 m . a.s.l. Biology and notes. Cepa simonettii is a species associated with the Valdivian evergreen forest. Other biological and ecological aspects of this species are unknown. Conservation status. DD; AOO = 2 km 2 and one locality (or subpopulation) . Genus Eumerus Meigen, 1822 Eumerus Meigen, 1822: 202 . Type-species, Syrphus tricolor Fabricius (Curtis, 1839: 749) .
