Remarks.
Pritchard (1966a)
transferred this species to
Apopodocotyle
, but that genus was subsequently synonymised with
Cainocreadium
by
Cribb (2005a)
. The genital pore is medial and so the combination of
Cribb (2005a)
is accepted for the present, but this species warrants further investigation because the vitelline follicles are restricted to the hindbody and it is known from haemulids and sparids. The excretory vesicle was not described.
