Diagnosis.
Very abundant dark spots compared to known species for the subgenus. Pronotal disc with prominent spots and the spots of the upper edge of the side lobes usually fused in a conspicuous strip. Cerci moderately curved at apex and armed with a slightly elongated spine, latero-apical edges of the subgenital plate at right angles and armed with small styles.

Description.
Coloration and appearance typical subgenus, distinguished by the following features: pronotal disk and the upper margin of side lobes whitish pink, similarly to the outer side of the femora, hind femur with the same coloration to the mesal portion, from there on is yellowish. Frons with a yellowish white stripe reduced below the eyes. Black spots of lateral lobes fused, inner side of the tibiae and hind femur black likewise that all posterior tibia, tegmina transparent with several brown spots as well as with rose to brown greatest part of venation, the other black spots of the body with similar distribution to other known species. Stridulatory file moderately curved toward the distal portion, ventral margin of the tibiae and hind femur armed with small spines, dorsal margin of the hind tibia serrated. Short postero-dorsal projection of last abdominal tergite of male very wide and with approximately straight postero median edge. Cerci and epiproct blackish with light area on dorsal cercal part and small light marks near apex of epiproct; cerci tumescent and dorso-ventrally flattened, thickened outer branch, curving inward only at apex and armed with a undulating spine, internal branch of the cerci reduced and curving slightly back. Subgenital plate yellowish white, proximal to mesal portion of the lateral margins black, emargination so deep as a quarter of the total length of the subgenital plate, apex of the subgenital plate black and armed with tiny styles.

Unknown.
Etymology.
The name of this species is dedicated in memory to the researchers Dr. Paulo Friedrich Bührnheim and Dr. Catarina Motta Bührnheim, as a tribute to them for the dedication of their lives to the study of insects in the Amazon.

Comments.
This species was identified erroneously by
Sovano & Mendes (2013)
as
Q. pulchella
, although in fact it is closer to
Q. diaphana
, distinguished by the features given in the key.
