Hishimonus concavus Knight 1970a : 133 , figs 17, 36–38. Coloration as in H. arcuatus . Male genitalia. Pygofer in lateral view longer than height, posterior margin conically rounded, macrosetae confined to posterior half. Valve about twice as wide at base as long. Subgenital plate with lateral rows of stout macrosetae about 0.66 as long as the total length of plate; gradually narrowed to terminal fingerlike process; terminal process with short microsetae, about 0.33 as long as the total length of plate. Style approximately thrice as long as wide at base; preapical lobe well developed with a few hairlike setae, apophysis blunt, slightly directed laterally. Stem of connective slender, as long as arms. Each aedeagal shaft abruptly narrowed near midlength to slender anteriorly directed apex, triangular lamellate expansion on anterior margin near midlength, gonopore on posterior surface near midlength. Measurements. Male 3.2–3.5 mm long, 1.11–1.20 mm wide across eyes. Material examined. INDIA : Meghalaya : 1 ♂ , Ri-Bhoi: ICAR RC NEH, Umiam 1031 m , 25 0 41’N , 91 0 55’E , 10.vi.2013 , at light, Vinayaka ( UASB ). MYANMAR : 1 ♂ , Bhamo, vi. 1886 ( MCG ). Remarks. H. concavus was described from the holotype male and paratypes from the Philippines (not examined), it is recorded here for the first time from the Indian subcontinent. A triangular lamellate expansion on the anterior margin of the aedeagal shafts near the midlength distinguishes it from species such as H. arcuatus and H. nielsoni which closely resemble it.
