COMMENT: Placed in subgenus Mesocapromys by Varona, 1974 , and in genus Mesocapromys , subgenus Paracapromys by Kratochvil et al., 1978 , Acta Sci. Nat. Sci. Bohemoslov-Brno, 12(1): 15. However, retained in Capromys by Hall, 1981:865 , and Corbet and Hill, 1980:191 . CAW, GSM, and GCC include Mesocapromys in Capromys .
